Indigenous of Setia Hati
This book aims to examine closely and describe the breadth and depth, of a society “peoples” in Indonesia, which is the unity of human life that interact according to a customs or legal systems that are continuous and are bound by a sense of shared identity. As a social life, indigenous of Setia Hati appears on the relationship created by its members, the relationship is personal and spiritual and physical bonding, which is transformed into a community association (gemeinschaft).
The society arising, not apart from the life of human behavior patterns. After the man became an adult, his thingking can be reasonable and fair and it was be able grow, he began to pick a favorite or deny that he did not like. During life, the human will be exposed to a variety of options, with all its consequences, pleasant or not. The ability to weigh which one is bad and should be avoided or which one is good to do, would be a test of life that not ends. Then he began to be introduced to the values of community, moral values and what is considered bad or good, wrong or right, and so forth. At one point, people might ask theirselves, how do they live a good, a good community members, to be good child, be good citizens and so on. Both in the sense of “save”, save is not only for himself, but save and good to save us and giving the good and benefit others, to society.
Setia Hati Society, hereinafter abbreviated as SH, was born in a unique way, with a fraternity of people who previously had a family bonding is not absolute, but then became brothers, so that the resulting sense of brothers among its members, who aspired to be surpass flavor brothers arising from consanguinity. They try to practice integrity and harmony brothers, as they are siblings, and the proverbial “their mother or father are the Setia Hati”. That is something very important in Setia Hati society, through a kind of doctrine with which they agreed and they accepted unanimously by the promise and oath of allegiance, which can not be obtained (and is not necessary) in siblings (collateral). They get new brothers in one idea, which was originally not a brother, but in the SH to be more than their own siblings (siblings are not necessarily one idea and can live in harmony). In Setia Hati, living in harmony is a necessity, an obligation to be cultivated its practice, live in harmony with fellow human, wherever arising and of whatever social status and must be arranged also with the wider community (relatives outside the SH).
One more very unique in forming a public culture system Setia Hati is the influence of martial arts as a Malay martial arts community. Pencak silat is a unity that has been ingrained and inseparable from the culture system of Setia Hati, because the identity is determined by the philosophy of martial arts noble character as the soul and source of motivation to use. This philosophy holds that the ideals of society “grammar tentrem karta raharja” will be achieved if all citizens, individually and socially are noble character. Therefore, this philosophy teaches about the formation of noble character as an individual life and social policy (Terete Bulletin No. 1 of 1993). And the most important thing is the rights and obligations after the person becomes a member (brother), must understand the martial arts as an essential condition of Setia Hati (without having to become an expert martial or warrior) to support the goals and ideals in realizing the harmonious life among relatives SH brothers and fellow citizens of all classes and walks of life, noble character and humanist (R.
